Katie Johnson, DC, MSAc, DiplAc

Dr. Johnson believes strongly that a healthy diet is the cornerstone of wellness and that healing begins from the inside out. There is great healing power in natural medicine when individualized and knowledgeably applied. She strongly emphasizes nutrition and practical ways of implementing changes in everyday life. She has successfully treated a wide variety of conditions, including digestive complaints, menstrual irregularities, infertility, sleep disorders, mood imbalances, headaches, and acute and chronic pain.

As a licensed Acupuncturist, Dr. Johnson incorporates her training in Chinese medicine into everyday practice. In Chinese medicine, disorders occur as a result of imbalances or obstructions in the body. When a person is in optimal physical, mental and emotional health, the body's organs and systems function in harmony. The stresses of everyday living, as well as poor diets, emotional disturbances and environmental factors lead to a steady decline of energy and eventually result in a disease state. The purpose of Acupuncture and other accessory techniques is to correct imbalances, increase energy and optimize function.
